Psychotherapy for Creating Work-Life Balance
Building a Life that is both Satisfying and Productive
Work is rarely 9-5 anymore. That model has been replaced by one that often blurs work and free time. Technology makes you available 24/7 to work emails and projects, with a frequent expectation that you will respond and continue to work outside of your actual working hours. Start-ups may make even greater demands on your time, expecting you to work late into the evening ( or night) and weekends. It's important to be excited by and to enjoy your work. Yet often it comes at the expense of your other needs and can result in fatigue, stress, and burn-out. You may find yourself drinking or using drugs in excess to cope. You may not be getting exercise, eating and sleeping well, or spending enough time with friends and family. You may need some help figuring out what will constitute work-life balance for you. Through psychotherapy, I can help you figure out what balance is right for you. There is no one size fits all.The therapy process can help you get in touch with your unique needs and desires both around work and life outside of work. Therapy can help you be less of a "human doing" and more of a "human being."
